HISTORY CONTRIBUTORS

Thom Jarrell

Thom is a well-known Laurelite who spent much of his youth in the 1980s behind the counter of Main Street’s legendary Pal Jack’s Pizza. Thom also worked next door at Petrucci’s Dinner Theatre, as the Petrucci family owned both businesses at the time. In this era long before drone photography became prevalent, Thom occasionally ventured to the roof of Petrucci’s, where he captured these aerial photographs of Main Street in October, 1988. As Thom explains, “Main Street always looked like Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood from up there.”
